Last NPO Doc of the Season!

Summer is almost upon us but before we can enjoy lazy times on a warm beach, we're bringing you another exceptional short doc, not to be missed. Directed by the talented Lea Becker, Schwör (Swear) tells the story of three good friends ready to face life side by side, despite their different national backgrounds. Even though focussed on a single day, the documentary offers a great portrait of friendship facing and overcoming cultural differences. Make sure you see it on NPO Doc, starting on 1st of June at 16:37 PM.

And if you're unlucky enough NOT to be going on holiday this summer or you're just a big fan of short docs, do keep an eye on our website, as we have some special surprises in store for you!

Bring yout Flip-flops to Kriterion!

Beach towel as well, if you must, just don't miss our last BG EU screening for the 2013-2014 season. On June 12th we're teaming up once again with the lovely crew from Kriterion for a special screening session of short student films, among which the bright star and winner of Breaking Shorts 2014: Tuna Kaptan's “Two at the Border”.
To end in style, we'll also be bringing in Frans van der Groen to discuss the films together with our special guest: journalist and director Simonka de Jong. Make sure you join and share our Facebook event for a chance to win free tickets!

P.S. don’t worry, the screening is done in time to catch the World Cup’s opening game!
