It is now possible to submit your film for the seventh edition of Go Short, which will take place from 8 till 12 April, 2015. You can use the brand new online entry system!

Breaking Shorts: Student Competition
Go Short offers several competitions with up to 8 awards to be won. If you ask us, the most important competition of the lot is the Breaking Shorts: Student Competition. It consists of short films from all genres, made at European film schools. And just like the previous years, Breaking Ground is responsible for selecting the films that together compete for the Encouragement Award!

For your film to be eligible for the Breaking Shorts competition, it must meet several requirements. Most important, it should be produced at a (geographical) European film school and it is no longer than 40 minutes. Read the other regulations here.

Other Competitions
Apart from the Student Competition, there are the European, Dutch & Youth Competition. The European Competition will consist of shorts that have been made in (geographical) Europe from all genres. The films are eligible for the Go Short Award for Best European Short in the four different categories. The Dutch Competition is a selection of films made in the Netherlands, from which the best film will be awarded with the Go Short Award for Best Dutch Short. From these two competitions a selection of films will be made which will form the Youth Competition, and which are eligible for the Go Short Youth Award.

All competition films, including the Breaking Shorts, are also in the running for the Audience Award!
