Breaking Ground cooperated with Go Short to programme and organize a 4-day campus during the Go Short International Short Film Festival in Nijmegen. During this campus film students met each other, worked together and were taught by professionals from the film-industry.

The programme consisted of a directing-actors workshop (by Jens Jonsson and Waldemar Torrenstra) a pitching workshop (by Daniel Gravemaker), a script-writing workshop (by Hans de Wolf and Marina Blok) and a debate about European Identity (led by Thomas Schippers).

The central theme of this years Breaking Short was European Identity.
The students questioned each other: 'Do you feel European?', 'Does there even exist an European Identity?', 'Do you make European films?'. The 20 students made-up a plan for a 10 minute film about the subject, which was also pitched in front of a professional jury on the last day.

In March next year Breaking Ground will again organize a campus and competition-programme. From the 15th of September you can enrol yourself on this website by leaving a video message of why you are the perfect person to participate in the campus.
